Privacy information

This beta stores your username, email address, email verification status, and a password hash, not your plain-text password. Email is used for account verification. When you post, your photo and caption are visible to visitors. Comments and appreciation are visible with your username.

Voxflok also counts successful page views using a random browser-session token. A keyed hash is used to estimate browser sessions per day; the raw token and IP address are not stored for these statistics. Daily counts are kept, while the per-session hashes are removed after 90 days. The owner can see totals in the private Visit stats dashboard. These counts are estimates, not a count of distinct people.

When you chat with Zori in local mode, your messages are sent to the Ollama model running on the same computer as the Voxflok server. Voxflok does not save Zori chat history in its database. Do not share passwords, addresses, or other sensitive information in chat.

Posts are scheduled to expire six calendar months after creation and are removed when the app next handles a request. Voxflok sends account verification messages through the mail server configured by the site owner; it does not run third-party ad tracking or process payments. Sponsor notices are entered by the site moderator and clearly labelled. See the Terms of Service for the draft marketplace fee terms.

For basic abuse prevention, short-lived sign-in and sign-up attempt records include a keyed hash of the connecting IP address and are removed after 24 hours.

You can delete your account from Account settings. This removes its posts, comments, and reactions from the active database. The hosting provider may keep backups according to its own retention settings.
